Sweet Smiles Welcomed IIW President Kapila Gupta As She Visits IWC Quezon City Community Day Care Center

22 February 2018, Quezon City – International Inner Wheel President Dr. Kapila Gupta visited the IWC QC Community Day Care Center, a flagship project of the Inner Wheel Club of Quezon City (IWC QC), District 378.

IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta together with the Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. entourage composed of National President Gloria “Baby” Golez, National Vice President Amelia “Bibie” Jarin, National Representative Bebe Relucio and Deputy National Representative Pamela “Pam” de Guzman were welcomed by the school’s teachers, students and, IWC QC officers and members led by its President, President Evelyn “Babes” Arroyo, Club Adviser Past National President Concepcion “Nonie” Basilio and IWCPI District Chairman Rosalinda “Roselyn” Capoquian.

The students from ages 3-5 years old, prepared a special program, featuring a folk dance number and a song entitled “Marawi”.  IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta was overwhelmed and amazed by the performances of the children and the different activities and projects of the club.

 

Inner Wheel Club of Quezon City is one of the oldest club existing in the Philippines, organized in 1960 by Charter President Patrocino “Pat” Picache.  The Day Care Center was established in 1972 during the tenure Past President Esther Vibal, who eventually became a Past National President of IWCPI and the 1st Asian and only Filipina International Inner Wheel President.  The school is located at Scout Ybardolaza, Kamuning, Quezon City.  This has been maintained by the club for forty-six (46) years, where different projects for the students, their parents and the community are conducted such as free medical and dental services.
